It’s time to find joy in life again.
Jenny Bishop, LMSW
One of my favorite analogies is that I love snowstorms, because snow absorbs sound. When it is snowing, it makes everything quieter. Wouldn’t it be nice if our brain could have a snowstorm and be quieter? Therapy is a place that can help you learn to have that same effect.
I’m Jenny Bishop and I help couples, people living with ADD/ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma and people living with food allergies. My clients come to me for help to learn about themselves and gain overall satisfaction in their lives, but just need the support to get there. I know what it feels like to be frustrated with life, scared about the future, disconnected in relationships, and unsure how to handle overwhelming emotions. I have also felt the darkness and heaviness that can surround us, and I understand the strong desire for inner calm and peace. This understanding drives my dedication to helping others find stability and healing.
Many of today’s solutions for mental health can feel distant and one-size fits all, leading many to feel like they just aren’t connecting with their therapist, or they aren’t making progress. I know that your circumstances and life experiences are unique to just you. Therefore, every step we take is tailored to you and always is aimed at continuing towards your goals.
First, we look at what things are impacting you and/or your relationship and where you would like to be in six months to feel like therapy was beneficial. Then we work together to figure out what interventions and style of therapy that your brain likes. If your brain likes something, it is easier to implement, and will be more effective for you. Through our work together, you’ll learn more about yourself and what you need to meet your therapeutic goals.
Get in touch. You’ll share about your hopes for therapy. We’ll answer any questions you have. Before we start working together, we’ll be sure we’re a good fit.
The Process
2. We will come together each week to explore your story, connect to your emotions, and work towards your goals. Together, we’ll develop the tools you need to live an empowered and connected life.
3. You will experience safety within yourself and in your relationship - ready to pursue a life connection, trust in yourself, and empowerment.
You deserve support.
